Bob DeKoch


Since joining us in 1998 as President and COO, Bob has been engaging associates at every level in the organization and instilling loyalty and cooperation. His steady, thoughtful and forward-thinking leadership sets the tone and course for Boldt. He combines a unique ability to enhance customer experiences with a broad vision for our company. Under Bob’s leadership, Boldt has grown into a billion-dollar company and an industry game-changer always with our clients’ needs in mind.

Bob has nearly four decades of leadership and innovation experience in the pulp and paper, beverage and chemical industries. This diverse background has developed a robust and unique perspective into the qualities of inspired leadership. Bob’s experiences and leadership continually motivates staff to look for innovative and cooperative ways to create value for our customers.

Bob holds a B.A. in chemistry from Lawrence University and an MBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. An accomplished author, Bob has co- authored two books on leadership and written numerous trade, management and technical articles.

Business author, C-Suite level leader and economic development authority, Bob has a myriad of insights into large-scale organizational management. His books, Embracing Uncertainty: The Essence of Leadership and Transforming Leaders into Progress Makers: Leadership for the 21st Century, capture his dedication to leadership. Since 2004, Bob had co-chaired New North, Inc., a regional economic development partnership for northeastern Wisconsin. Bob is well known for his deep interest and up-to-date knowledge of key industry issues as well as his passion for leadership and mentorship.
