Madison Gas & Electric (MGE) ~ O'Brien Solar Field

The O’Brien Solar Field is a 20 MW solar photovoltaic array consisting of roughly 50,000 Canadian Solar CS3W-400PB-AG, 390-410Wp, 72-cell bi-facial solar photovoltaic modules on racking with Soltec SF7 single-axis bi-facial trackers. All modules, racking, and tracker equipment was provided by the Owner.

Completed ahead of schedule, this installation is the largest solar energy system in Dane County, Wisconsin.

  • All labor, equipment and support materials needed to perform the scope of work
  • Safety plan and safety materials and equipment
  • Compliance with EDF-DS COVID-19 preparedness, response, and recovery planning requirements
  • Support of EDFR’s efforts with local government officials, other EDFR contractors, and the interconnecting utility, Madison Gas and Electric Company, along with EDFR’s engineer.   
  • Logistics management including coordination of shipment schedule; materials handling, storage, and off-site disposal of packaging
  • Receiving, inspection, and inventory of racking, trackers, and PV modules and notifying of any discrepancies
  • Installation of the racking, trackers, and setting of PV modules
