Wolverine Power is building and will operate a 2x0 Simple Cycle 405 MW project at a green-field site located in the Elmira Township in Otsego County, Michigan. Wolverine has awarded two Combustion Turbine Generators (GTGs) to the General Electric Company. The combustion turbines will be natural gas fired GE Frame 7FA.05. The generators are hydrogen cooled. The two generator step-up transformers for the project were awarded to Hyundai Transformer USA. All other engineered equipment will be purchased by the owner and supplied to the project site. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2016.
Boldt’s role on the project as the general contractor includes installation of the concrete substructures, equipment installations, structural steel and equipment enclosures. Boldt will also self-perform the piping installations. Electrical, instrumentation and insulation installations are included in the Boldt scope and will be provided by key subcontractors.
