Project Description

Boldt’s scope of work included the unit 6 baghouse and ductwork erection.The baghouse installation included mechanical installation, support steel, casing, hoppers, inlet and outlet plenums and cages and bags. Boldt also installed the ID fans and motors, lube oil skids, VFD enclosure and chiller skids, fly ash system, air compressors, dryer, receivers, piping, valves instrumentation, tubing, supports and all other accessories for the systems.

Ductwork from the existing precipitators to the baghouse and from the baghouse outlet to the stack was installed as part of this contract. Many of the duct pieces weighed in excess of 50 tons.

Additional work included a tie-in outage where the existing ID fans were demolished, new duct sections were erected and connections were made to the precipitators and the stack.

Insulation, lagging and electrical installations were also included in the scope of work for the baghouse project.
