Members Cooperative Credit Union ~ Miller Hill Branch Office

Duluth, Minnesota

Project Description

Members Cooperative Credit Union and Boldt have a 25-year relationship that led to us partnering with them for the construction of their new prototype branch office in Duluth in the heart of the city’s mall district. Located on a brownfield site, Boldt built this new branch office in six months, starting with soil corrections and an extensive retaining wall. The project team developed a communications plan that used a project blog site to keep the local community and customers informed on the progress. Further, the project team met on a regular basis with the neighboring businesses to discuss project implications; construction activities, contractor parking, noise levels, large equipment and truck traffic.

The branch is 3,700 sq. ft. which includes a large customer lobby, loan officer offices, conference room, IT room, safe room, three teller areas, break room and drive thru lanes. The new design features the latest in branch banking trends with the “Concierge Teller Pods”, open area concepts and unique architectural finishes that included bold colors, wood grain tiles, Trespa exterior panels, linear electrical fixtures and the “3D Wavy Walls” or Dune Panels by modularArts.
