The Boldt Company completed this $15.8 million expansion project for Plexus, a contract electronics manufacturer that specializes in product development. This project is a redevelopment in a tax increment financing (TIF) district area located in downtown Neenah. It is a four-story, 90,000 sq. ft. office building that includes advanced training and technology opportunities, generous collaboration spaces, food services, a cafeteria and a two-story open atrium.

The interior building space was designed to fit the needs of Plexus for its Neenah Design Center. The first-floor lab space was created for testing and designing products. The second floor has been outfitted with large meeting spaces to brainstorm ideas as well as a tour area for potential clients. The top two floors, laid out for employees and teams to better collaborate on projects, include many huddle rooms and open spaces.

This is the largest of Plexus’ eight design centers. Low-E insulated glass, LED lighting and high-efficiency HVAC systems deliver energy savings and a comfortable workspace. Other items include a data center, back-up generator, outdoor patio space, large break area and spiral staircase.

As the design-build partner, Boldt completed the project on-time.
