Release Date: 11/11/2021 | Mary Schmidt

MILWAUKEE (October 26, 2021)–The Boldt Company (Boldt) was named the top-ranked company in the Milwaukee Business Journal’s Best Places to Work “large” category. The journal honored ten firms in this category of companies with more than 200 employees.

All participating companies needed to have a large percentage of employees complete an online survey. Employee scores were measured on how favorably they responded to questions in core areas including personal engagement, communication and resources, teamwork, retention, alignment with goals, trust with co-workers and senior leaders, manager effectiveness, job satisfaction, etc. The selected winner was based on the highest scores in each size category. In the Large company category, Boldt had the highest with a score of 88.37.

“At our core, Boldt exists to provide good jobs for people, and our people are our greatest asset,” said Jeff Niesen, group president of central operations for Boldt. “We’re honored to receive this high recognition, and we’re proud that our employees feel they receive opportunities that allow them to learn, grow and reach their full potential at Boldt.”

At Boldt, employees are driven by the company’s core values of honesty, fairness, hard work, performance and a love of construction. The organization understands what is more important than the facilities it builds is the relationships built along the way and the lives impacted – including customers, employees, partners, vendors, suppliers and communities.  It is not the buildings, the equipment, the tools, or the technology that make Boldt a great organization. It is the people. Not just the leadership, but everyone from the laborer that started yesterday, to the employee that has been with the company for forty years.

“Boldt is committed to promoting a culture of inclusion and fostering a team-based work environment that encourages curiosity and learning,” said John Huggett, vice president and general manager for Boldt. “We have worked hard to create a culture focused on our people and our staff tell us it is their colleagues who keep them excited to come to work every day.”
