Boldt’s Randy Haak named Best Corporate Counsel

APPLETON, WI, August 13, 2018–Randy Haak, general counsel for The Boldt Company, was named Best Corporate Counsel in a Private Company by the Milwaukee Business Journal. The ranking is part of the publication’s C-Suite Stars which honors top chief financial officers, chief marketing officers, chief information officers and top corporate counsels.

Haak has served as general counsel for Boldt since 2009; prior to that time he represented the company for more than 25 years as outside legal counsel. In his career at Boldt, he has established a robust risk management program that includes subcontractor prequalification. In 2012 he assisted in the creation of the employee stock ownership program (ESOP) and management stock ownership program (MSOP).

Haak holds a law degree from the University of Wisconsin—Madison and was admitted to the Wisconsin State Bar in 1979. He serves on the City of Kaukauna Redevelopment Authority, on the grants committee for the St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation, and is on the board of directors of the St. Thomas More Society. He was ordained a deacon for the Diocese of Green Bay in 2001.

The awards will be presented on Sept. 24 at Milwaukee’s Pfister Hotel.
