Dairyland Power Cooperative - JP Madgett Station Unit 6 - Aerial View of Site during Construction

Formed in 1941, the Dairyland Power Cooperative serves approximately 280,000 members in western Wisconsin. To continue to meet those members’ needs, they engaged Boldt to provide general contracting, construction and installation services for their Unit 6 baghouse and associated ductwork.

The baghouse installation included mechanical installation, support steel, casing, hoppers, inlet and outlet plenums, and cages and bags. Boldt also installed the ID fans and motors, lube oil skids, VFD enclosure and chiller skids, fly ash system, air compressors, dryer, receivers, piping, valves instrumentation, tubing, supports and all appurtenances for the systems. Additional work included a tie-in outage where the existing ID fans were demolished, new duct sections were erected and connections were made to the precipitators and the stack.
