Xcel Energy Services

New Service Center

Ashland, WI

When your mission is to provide reliable, low-cost energy, you need a general contractor with the expertise to provide the highest value solutions. Xcel Energy is the home of Windsource, the nation's largest voluntary renewable energy program, which allows customers to reduce their carbon footprint.

Working with SDS Architects, Boldt built a 34,000 sq. ft. service center for Xcel Energy's Wisconsin facility.

Constructed of precast wall panels and metal decking, the power company's new facility offers 15,000 sq. ft. of office space, locker rooms and conference rooms for its administrative staff, who provide customer service to Xcel's customers. The warehouse includes 24 overhead doors, a service truck garage and repair bay for maintaining its utility vehicles, in addition to jib cranes and trench drains for easier mechanical work and cleanup.

This project is currently seeking LEED® Silver certification.
