Presque Isle Units 7, 8 & 9 Baghouse Installations

Located on 65 acres along the shore of Lake Superior, Presque Isle is the fifth largest power plant in We Energies' system. It only seems fitting that a company that provides electricity and natural gas to more than a million customers would choose the general contractor experienced in fast, accurate installation of equipment.
Working with Wheelabrator Air Pollution Control and Cummins & Barnard engineers, we assembled and erected a fabric filter dust collector to reduce particulate matter following coal combustion. Under a separate contract with We Energies to install baghouse foundations, fans, steel erection and ductwork, we also used Building Information Modeling (BIM) interfaced with Wheelabrator's design to save time and money.
Project scope included concrete mat and pedestal foundations, 260 tons of structural and access steel erection, electrical and general power systems, utility and drain system services, and, of course, the quality assurance and startup support Boldt is known for.
