Residence Hall Renovation

Norman, OK

The University of Oklahoma is a doctoral-degree granting research facility that offers academic excellence and a strong sense of community to students from across the nation and world. Renovating all existing housing and food service facilities on campus required constructing in multiple phases to avoid disruption to its student body and faculty.

As construction manager-at-risk, Boldt worked with Kaighn and Associates to deliver this seven-year project within a guaranteed maximum price.

Constructing in phases, we provided infrastructure and renovation work to three 1960s-era high-rise buildings, installing new fire-management systems, handicap-compliant housing units, new bathroom facilities and interior upgrades throughout.

We also renovated the Cate Center, a university housing complex built in the 1950s. The remodeled facility includes five three-story buildings that house honor students, offices and food service operations. With the addition of new roofing, and ventilation and plumbing upgrades throughout, the university continues to offer students safe, modern learning facilities.
