Regional Office and Warehouse Facility
Oklahoma City, OK
Boldt's Oklahoma facility is an example of how we live by the same high sustainable construction standards we deliver to our customers. The first privately owned building in Oklahoma to be LEED Certified, this facility located on a busy thoroughfare also received an award for contributing to the improved image of Oklahoma City.
Boldt worked with Studio Architecture to incorporate sustainable features inside and out. It was important to us that our facility was constructed using recycled or recyclable materials from rapidly renewable resources and wood from certified forests. We used native stone wherever possible, as well as locally manufactured building materials.
Virtually every element of our operation makes responsible use of natural resources, from electricity purchased from a wind farm, to a high-efficiency temperature-control system that uses solar power for warming and strategically placed trees and awnings for cooling. Even our parking lot is green, with facilities to charge electric cars, spaces reserved for car poolers, and showers and bike storage to encourage commuting. These efforts resulted in a LEED Silver Certified building from the U.S. Green Building Council.
