This 16-story Women's and Children's Center and Acute Care Hospital will be built in a spirit of innovative collaboration that embraces a Lean culture. Like other Sutter Health facilities, it will include advanced care and clinical trials among its state-of-the-art services.
In a partnership with Sutter Health and SmithGroup architects, BoldtHerrero plans to utilize Integrated Lean Project Delivery® to deliver a LEED-certified facility that encompasses California Pacific Medical Center's vision and guiding principles. The project will incorporate the latest in construction technology, including target value design, last-planner scheduling, Building Information Modeling and virtual design construction.
The goal is to build this proposed 920,000 sq. ft. facility at 14 percent below the cost of current health care market projects of similar size, and indications to date point to a successful outcome.
