St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish

New Facility

Two Rivers, WI

When all of Two Rivers' Catholic parishes united to form St. Peter the Fisherman, it created a need for expanded facilities for its growing membership - a church, school and activity center where they could gather for worship and learning. The first of this three-phase project included a church that seats up to 1,200 people, in addition to a 14,300 sq. ft. sanctuary and 3,500 sq. ft. gathering space for fellowship. Offices, storage space, two vestibules and a carport completed the facility's plans.

The preconstruction and design phase was extensive and included committee meetings with parish representatives, engineers, consultants and architects. As construction manager and general contractor, Boldt prepared estimates, constructability analysis and value engineering, and helped the owners review bids. We also self-performed the concrete, structural steel, and rough and finish carpentry.

The resulting new building, with its load-bearing masonry exterior and wooden roof trusses, serves as a sanctuary where parish members gather and worship.
