The best, most innovative ideas often come from true collaboration, as is the case with this project. As general contractor and construction manager, Boldt teamed with Baisch Engineering and the owner on this extensive and highly successful mill modernization program, one of many projects on which this team has collaborated.

Maintaining current operations at the Cloquet mill was a key project success criterion and challenge, as was designing a coater building without knowing the coater vendor. After Baisch completed project feasibility studies, our field engineering and commissioning support tackled the design and production challenges, answering with BoldThinking® innovation and world-class construction management.

Constructability reviews and active owner participation in the design review process resulted in a smooth construction phase and effective maintenance of production activities. Sappi's new paper machine, off-machine coater and building were completed on schedule and within budget.
