Oklahoma State University

Alumni Center

Stillwater, OK

With a rich history and proud heritage, Oklahoma State needed an alumni center capable of housing school artifacts while serving as a welcoming place for students past and present.

Selected as general contractor, Boldt worked with Frankfurt Short Bruza architects to design a two-story structure of approximately 52,000 sq. ft.

Because the new center was planned adjacent to areas dating back to the university's earliest days, great care was required during construction to not disturb features such as the oldest tree on campus and a stone commemorating the class of 1905.

Constructed of brick and cast-stone veneer, the building houses a wide array of historical photographs and exhibits, and offers high-tech amenities, such as projection screens for televising games and lounges for computer use. Students, alumni, and their families enjoy pre- and post-game events and outdoor ceremonies on the lawn, and have access to conference rooms, refreshment areas and a large banquet hall.

The interior of the center is finished in hardwood and slate flooring, hardwood paneling, wood beams and a massive two-story stone fireplace.
