Integrys Energy Group chose Boldt to manage much of their day-to-day facility maintenance program as well as various construction projects in order to simplify the project bidding process and keep each project on track. Integrys, named one of the “Most Admired Energy Companies in America,” is the parent company of several different energy companies including Wisconsin Public Service, Upper Peninsula Power Company and Minnesota Energy Resources, so it needed a contractor able to manage a diverse set of projects over a large geographical area.
Boldt has effectively collaborated with Integrys’ facilities and design team to do just that: consistently deliver safe, cost-effective projects at the company’s many different locations throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest as part of an ongoing three-year agreement.
Boldt’s work for Integrys has been diverse, including project coordination, facilities planning and design, implementing site safety programs, managing construction schedules and budgets and preparing bid packages.
The ongoing relationship between Boldt and Integrys has provided the owner with the best of both worlds: the power of a large maintenance and facilities crew without the internal overhead costs.
