Golden County Foods

New Research, Development and Office Building

Plover, WI

As one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in Wisconsin, Golden County Foods found itself in need of a facility to accommodate staff members dedicated to research, development and administration. The office expansion would be added to a fully functioning food-processing facility that supplies goods to companies across North America and Europe.

As design/builder, Boldt designed and built the 6,934 sq. ft. two-story addition which includes a masonry exterior with split-faced block. It houses general-use space, an R&D lab, reception and conference areas, 10 offices and a hydraulic passenger elevator. Boldt self-performed the cast-in-place concrete, rough and finish carpentry, and steel erection.

The result was a project completed in only six months and within budget. Golden County Foods' food-production facility remained fully operational, and its staff now enjoys a state-of-the-art headquarters
