With their business growing beyond capacity, food processor Golden County Foods was to begin expansion of their primary production facility. Specifically, the company planned for an addition of a frozen food processing/packaging line and a 39,800 sq. ft. facility to house it.

Boldt took part on several fronts. We managed all aspects of the design, engineering and contruction of the project. The finished building consists of a structural steel frame and concrete masonry walls resting atop a special load-spreading CMU foundation. Features include a mixing room, spiral freezer, ammonia plant and break room with lockers.

Collaboration was the key to success. Numerous discussion sessions between the Boldt team and the project's owners resulted in processes for refinements that reduced expenditures while actually improving build efficiency and the facility's WDA/USDA food-processing compliance.
