Project owner GE Energy Financial Services had undertaken construction of an energy plant to meet the growing needs of people and industries of Northeastern Wisconsin.
Divided into two phases, each phase involved the building of a 235-megawatt (MW) generating plant, fired by natural gas and cooled by waters of the adjacent Fox River, for a total of 470 MW.
Boldt served as general contractor working closely with engineering firm Parsons E&C. Our role involved preconstruction planning and construction of the concrete foundations for the Nooter/Eriksen Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG), installation of the HRSGs, setting of tube bundles steam drums and exhaust stacks, assembly and installation of combustion turbines and generators, and construction of the foundations for cooling towers.
