Fleming County Hospital
Replacement Hospital
Flemingsburg, KY
When Fleming County wanted a replacement facility built adjacent to their existing hospital, they sought the experience of Boldt's in-house consulting services group. In its role as program manager, Boldt led the complex process of establishing the program and budget for the hospital.
We facilitated the Certificate of Need process for project approval and acquired land to support future growth. After facilitating the plan review process with the hospital, its attorney and lenders, we could address the construction challenges of building in a remote location.
Boldt's planning and expertise resulted in a 97,000 sq. ft. full-service hospital that not only complied with the requirements of the many organizations involved, but also addressed the hospital's wish to decrease future operating costs by incorporating geothermal wells that reduce heating and cooling costs.
