Noble Thumb Wind Farm

The Noble Thumb Wind Farm project provided Boldt the chance to put its experience in safety, productivity, and self-performing foundation and erection services to work.

As erection contractor for the wind tower foundations, we worked with RMT engineers, using our well-planned project approach for foundation placement and turbine erection services. We assisted the owner and equipment transporter with the project delivery schedule, coordinating daily delivery and inspection of turbines before erection.

In addition to supplying RMT labor, supervision and equipment, we worked with local utilities to coordinate electrical line drops to facilitate crane movement between sites.

Despite 10 days of high winds that delayed installation, the wind farm was completed ahead of schedule and within budget, with zero lost-time and recordable incidents.
