Wisconsin Corporate Safety Award, Construction - Wisconsin Council of Safety (WCS) and the Department of Workforce Development (DWD)

For the sixth time since 1996, The Boldt Company is the winner of top honors among state construction companies for maintaining a safe working environment. The firm received the grand award in the construction category from the Wisconsin Corporate Safety Awards at the annual Wisconsin Safety and Health Congress Expo April 29. In the 14-year history of the program, Boldt is the only state construction company to win a grand award six times.

The General Contractor Awards were given for new construction and renovation work categorized by contract amount. Criteria included: unusual design and craftsmanship; project teamwork; innovation in construction techniques or material; meeting difficult challenges; and client satisfaction/client service.
Environmental Excellence Award
The Environmental Excellence Award was given to the AGC member that went above-and-beyond normal practices to have a positive impact on the environment. Criteria considered the extent to which regulatory requirements were exceeded and the benefits to the environment.

Boldt received the 2006 Oklahoma State University Green Award for Sustainability for the new regional headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It
is Oklahoma's first LEED privately built building. Boldt's new corporate headquarters is an environmentally sensitive building that not only
utilizes recycled products and post construction recycling but the land use, facility design and building strategies are both environmentally friendly and economically friendly to the property owner.

Each year OKC Beautiful presents Distinguished Service Awards to individuals and groups who have made major contributions to the improved image and appearance of Oklahoma City. On March 9, 2006 the Boldt Southern Operations Office received the Visionary Award for their vision and dedication to building intelligently, responsibly and beautifully at the new 101 West Hefner Road location. Boldt set a high standard with its commitment to using sustainable and local resources and materials, and the construction and landscaping efforts will continue to have a positive impact on the image of Oklahoma City - which contributes directly to Oklahoma City's growth and quality of life. The artful, serene building and landscaping significantly surpass ordinance requirements and show Boldt's dedication to improving the overall image of the community.

In 26 years, the Wisconsin Foundation for the Arts has honored more than 130 businesses, individuals and organizations whose extraordinary contributions to the vitality of the arts in local communities or statewide deserve recognition.

The Daily Reporter selected the Department of Natural Resources — Northeast Wisconsin Regional
Headquarters as one of the Top Projects of 2005. Judging was based on cooperation between contractors,
innovative techniques, efficiency and style, as well as excellence in planning, engineering, design and
construction management. The award will be presented at an awards ceremony on March 28, 2006.

The Dittmann Center for Art and Dance at St. Olaf College was recognized by the American Institute of Architects in Minnesota for distinction in architecture.
The center, which was remodeled in 2001, received the society's Honor Award in recognition of architectural excellence. Boldt was the Construction Manager and
General Contractor on the project.

Wisconsin Builder magazine recognized St. Lukes Cardiac Center and Patient Tower as one of their Top Projects for 2004. The eight-story facility was constructed on top of an existing parking garage, and is one of a select few projects recognized by Wisconsin Builder magazine for projects completed in 2004.

The St. Lukes Cardiac Center and Patient Tower Project has been selected as a Merit Winner in the $100 million and greater category of the American Institute of Steel Constructions 2005 Engineering Awards of Excellence competition. AISC selects one National Winner and two Merit Award Winners. This years National Winner is the Seattle Central Library, and the other Merit Ward Winner is the Soldier Field Project. Last years winners include the Houston Texans Reliant Stadium and the Seattle Seahawks Stadium. |

The Wisconsin River Valley Operations recently received an award from StoraEnso North America (SENA) for Boldts performance on the No. 16 Paper Machine Rebuild Project, which was completed in January of 2004. Boldt was one of six companies selected from over 160 suppliers. To be a qualified supplier for consideration, goods and services provided for the No. 16 Paper Machine Rebuild had to be in excess of $1 million US dollars. Suppliers were rated in six categories and were rated by ten of SENAs key project team members. |

The award was presented jointly by Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Minnesota and the Duluth Builders Exchange at the AGCs Duluth Safety Day on February 8, 2005 to recognize the areas contractor with the best safety record and program.
Boldt, selected out of 16 contractors submitting applications for the award, was commended as a true leader in construction safety. It was stated that, This leadership is shown in their managements commitment to their safety program and reflected in their current EMR rating of 0.58.

St. Lukes Hospital Cardiac Center and Patient Tower was awarded the 2004 Health Care Project of the Year Award from Midwest Construction. The jury said, What a project! They went to Europe for the trusses. The staging was complex. The architecture is beautiful. And they did it all over an existing parking facility. |
 | Boldts Wisconsin River Valley Office Receives Silver LEED™ certification | |
The US Green Building Council awarded the Wisconsin River Valley office Silver LEED™ certification on September 7, 2004. This is the second Silver LEED™ certified project in the state and the first Silver LEED™ certified project under LEED™ Version 2.0. The US Green Building Council will be issuing Boldt a Silver certification plaque in recognition of Boldts accomplishment and the office will become part of the United States Depar™ent of Energys database for sustainable buildings.
The Boldt Company is the first Design / Build company in Wisconsin to design, build, document and certify a Silver LEED™ certified project. This is significant because The Boldt Company has received many sustainable awards in recognition of their efforts, has had numerous articles published regarding their accomplishments, but most importantly was awarded sustainable projects such as the DNR Northeast Headquarters, St. Elizabeths Hospital, and the LEED™ assessment of Wausau East High School. The Boldt Company is viewed as a leader in the industry regarding sustainability.

First English Lutheran Church
First English Lutheran Church in Appleton was awarded the BAC Craft AwardBest National Stone Project 2003 by the International Masonry Institute. In a case study of First English Lutheran Church in the Summer 2003 publication of the International Masonry Institute, Wayne Syrjamaki, masonry foreman on the project, was quoted as saying, Our stone masons had to custom hone each stone to copy size and scale. In many cases, such as window sills, jambs, heads, and especially the main entry archway, the architect trusted us to create stone shop drawings!

Lawrence University Hiett Hall
Wisconsin Builder magazine recognized Lawrence Universitys Hiett Hall as one of their Top Projects for 2003. The new 79,500 sq. ft. dorm facility was completed in time for the 2003-2004 school year and houses 183 students in a variety of room configurations. This project is one of only 20 projects recognized by Wisconsin Builder magazine for projects completed in 2003.

Boldt received the 2003 Energy Efficient Award sponsored by Energy User News
and the World Energy Congress for their Wisconsin River Valley Office.
Innovative in many ways, the Oscar J. Boldt Construction office was designed
and built as a Silver L.E.E.D. project. Its sustainable characteristics include
numerous water and soil measures. Most impressive, however, is the use of daylight
dimming and occupancy controls to minimize electrical costs. In addition, the
HVAC systems provide additional savings. Pre- and post-occupancy commissioning
assured the full realization of savings.
Participating manufacturers include Trane, Ledalite, Day-Brite, Precision Architectural
Lighting, Gardco, Leviton, and Watt Stopper.

The Boldt Company
Pechiney Plastic Packaging has presented The Boldt Company with its STRIVE 2002
Platinum Award. This award is the highest honor Pechiney bestows on any of its
business suppliers, vendors or consultants. The award was given in recognition
for assisting Pechiney in their continuous improvement efforts through cost
saving and value added ideas. Boldt was able to identify $1.7 million in savings
on a project volume of nearly $10 million.
The savings were derived from the efforts of many Boldt employees in design,
construction, value engineering, safety, and construction management activities
at various Pechiney facilities around the country.
