That’s the number of points just awarded Wisconsin’s new Aldo Leopold Legacy Center by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) under the LEED rating system. This Platinum-level rating is the highest ever recorded for a sustainable building. Anywhere. And it was built by Boldt. We’re proud to have played a part in this showcase of sustainable design and construction. It stands as Wisconsin’s first “net zero energy” building, and the first carbon-neutral building certified by the USGBC. It also includes a skeleton built almost entirely from pines planted by Leopold himself, an innovative fresh air system that keeps incoming air at a year-round 55°, solar heat and more. Buildings like the Legacy Center are the face of things to come. And so our involvement in green keeps growing.
