Project Description
Phase I of this Greenfield power plant is a 250 MW combined cycle gas-fired plant. The plant will generate electricity and use natural gas. Boldt’s scope of work includes installation of one Nooter Eriksen Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), one GE 7FB combustion gas turbine/generator assembly. The plant is expected to be online mid-2005.


Key Points: Calpine Corporation is the general contractor for the project. Boldt has been awarded seven contracts to date, including utility rack assembly and the remaining structural steel platforms and building enclosures, ten pre-engineered buildings, steam turbine generator foundations and pedestals, miscellaneous equipment foundations in power block area, and the cooling tower foundation. Approximately 122,000 craftman-hours will be required. The tube bundles, steam drums and exhaust stack were set with Boldt’s Manitowoc 2250 crane.
